Our Story

Tampa Bay Contracting is a family-owned commercial and residential construction company founded in 1970 by Michael Anthony. Steven Anthony serves as the current owner and CEO, continuing his family’s construction tradition and maintaining its impressive reputation. Steven Anthony comes from a family of builders and business owners and brings over 24 years of industry experience to Tampa Bay.

Growing up, Steven worked weekends and summers on building projects with his father and uncle. After attending military high school in Virginia, Steven began working for a building contractor in his hometown of Greensburg, Pennsylvania. In 1997, he decided to go into business for himself, starting with exteriors, decks and Concrete work. The demand for his quality of work grew quickly, and he took on larger projects including kitchen and bathroom remodels as well as roofing work.

In 2005 Steven and his Wife Julia made the move from Pennsylvania to the Tampa Bay Area where Julia took a position with the Hillsborough County school district and Steven began the process of becoming a licensed Residential Contractor. Currently Steven is a State Certified Building Contractor (CBC1262377).
